Active Hands is a great example of the kind of innovation that gets created when you have to find a solution to your own situation – and then find that it also works for many, many others.  This is our latest ‘Featured Innovation’ and I hope you find this one as interesting as we did!

Get a Grip on an Independent Lifestyle

Are you frustrated by weak grip or poor hand function?  Active Hands gripping aids could help you achieve things you never thought possible.

Active Hands aids are designed to help you hold items firmly in your hand, enabling a whole range of tasks and activities.  Whether you want to work out at the gym, help out in the home or go hand biking, they’re your essential piece of kit.  All products are certified by the Inclusive Fitness Initiative.

General Purpose Gripping Aids

Durable and versatile, the General Purpose aid works by tightening a strap which gently pulls your hand into a fist shape, adjusting to hold items in the palm.  Strap one of these to your wrist and you could soon be lifting free weights, hammering a nail or playing Nintendo Wii.

Perfect for tiny hands, Active Hands Mini Aids come in pink and blue and are perfect for helping under 5s hold onto tricycle handlebars and other play equipment.

Looped Exercise Aids

Ideal for the gym, Looped Exercise Aids feature strong loops which can be slipped over the handles of some exercise machines and hand bikes.  They’re designed for solo use, allowing complete individual independence and the ability to ‘let go’ during rest periods.

This is a great idea...it also keep people and things safe around someone who may be using things, like a hammer, in the event he or she loses their grip.
