My name is Traighana Smith and I’m a film maker recently started volunteering at Blackwood.
In 2010 I travelled to Dubai to film a short documentary on a paediatric centre. Rashid Paediatric Therapy Centre is unique in the Gulf for its multi-disciplinary approach to special education. Relying on sponsorships and donations to run, the centre fully supports the needs of children with disabilities with classes ranging from maths and languages to life skills such as cooking and carpentry.
