TGA Mobility, the UK’s leading mobility scooter specialist with an Independent Living showroom in Sudbury, has donated a new wheelchair to help a well recognised vulnerable and disabled man who has been homeless locally for over twenty years.
TGA has a close relationship with the local constabulary as the Police support the many scooter safe driving days held at the company’s headquarters on Woodhall Business Park. Rachel Elding, Retail Development Manager, is responsible for the TGA mobility showroom which provides the largest range of quality scooters, wheelchairs, rise and recliner chairs, adjustable beds and independent living aids anywhere in East Anglia. She was recently approached by Police Community Support Officer, Jamie Fudge, regarding the possible donation of a wheelchair to assist a local vulnerable male who lives in Sudbury. As TGA is a regularly supporter of local charities and good causes Rachel was delighted to help.
Commonly seen propelling himself backwards, this disabled and homeless individual had kept on the move until recently when his dilapidated wheelchair finally fell apart. This resulted in him becoming immobile and without funds to buy a replacement, the Police decided to put a call out for assistance. Read more....
