TGA MOBILITY BUCKS CHALLENGING ECONOMIC TREND WITH SIMULTANEOUS RECRUITMENT OF SIX EXTRA EMPLOYEES

TGA, the UK’s leading mobility scooter specialist based in Suffolk, continues to demonstrate impressive growth during these tough economic times and has subsequently simultaneously appointed six extra recruits.

TGA is a family-run, caring company that has provided life-changing, trusted mobility products for over 25 years. It supplies leading mobility scooter brands such as the Breeze and Vita across the UK whilst continually supporting charities events and delivering safe driving education to end-users. To ensure its service levels are maintained as the popularity of TGA products continues to grow, the business has added six new members to its team. These simultaneous appointments span all departments and the the new recruits are:

·       Rachael Simpson, 29 from Halstead, Dealer Co-ordinator

·       Sarah Mead, 42 from Colchester, Customer Service Manager

·       Mark Hammond, 28 from Halstead, Service Department

·       Justin Horne, 36 from Clare, PDI Inspector (Pre-delivery inspections)

·       David Lasslett, 44 from Halstead, Stores

·       Paul Welsh, 20 from Great Cornard, Warehouse Assistance.

Daniel Stone, TGA Managing Director commented: “These six new members have been carefully selected to join our team as they all demonstrated a pro-active, diligent and caring attitude during the interview process. This approach is critical when working at TGA as we are a customer-focused business that is dedicated to helping disabled and mature individuals regain their freedom. We understand that people who have mobility issues need peace of mind when selecting products and need to rely on their chosen mobility supplier. This is why every member of staff must deliver on promises so that peace of mind is assured for our customers at all times. We are proud of our trusted reputation for delivering impeccable service and quality products and are confident these additional members of staff will further assist with business growth.”

Sarah Mead is TGA’s new Customer Services Manager and is responsible for leading all direct customer support that involves organising product demonstrations, processing orders and after sales care. As a dynamic, bubbly character, she ‘loves the vibrant, friendly atmosphere at TGA’ and ‘felt settled from day one’. Outside of work she continues to be busy with five children, two dogs and a passion for socialising and parties.

Rachel Simpson joins TGA as its national Dealer Co-ordinator and Area Sales Manager for Scotland and Ireland. She brings extensive customer facing experience to TGA from several years working for Thomas Cook in Ibiza and is already ‘enjoying her varied role’.

Before joining the TGA Service Department, Mark Hammond worked at a car electrical component manufacturer as a technical sales advisor. He brings this specialist knowledge to TGA, which is invaluable when servicing the company’s market leading mobility scooters. Justin Horne is now an additional team member responsible for maintaining quality control as products are dispatched. As a PDI inspector, it is Justin’s responsibility to thoroughly check every mobility scooter that leaves TGA to ensure reliability and product performance is of the utmost level. Outside of TGA, Justin has an interesting hobby as he cares for 22 rescue ferrets along with supporting other animal rescue centres and judging at ferret competitions.

David Lasslett left his previous position and joined TGA as he was seeking a new challenge with prospects. David, with his impeccable attention to detail, is now developing into a key employee within the parts store at TGA. He works alongside Paul Welsh who is reveling in his first full time role after studying at the College of West Suffolk. Paul commented: “I’m really enjoying my new role as I have to work hard and move around all day, far better than sitting at a desk in my opinion. As my mother has a disability, I care for her every morning and evening and hence the service TGA provides has a personal association which makes it even more rewarding.”
