Despite living with walking difficulties, Pat Young, 74 from Clacton-on-Sea, Essex, is a fun and bubbly lady who has won a pioneering type of folding Minimo mobility scooter, courtesy of TGA.
Pat is an entertaining individual who always remains positive despite mobility difficulties caused by back problems and arthritis. “I’m always laughing I am!” she says regularly even though she has to deal with constant pain and can only walk small distances. Pat was an Auxiliary Nurse for the Ministry of Defence for 20 years before taking early retirement due to ill health. She now lives with her husband in Clacton and enjoy spending time with her children and grandchildren. However, being able to enjoy the outdoors, especially the seafront only minutes away, was becoming impossible until she won her brand new TGA Minimo mobility scooter.
TGA have being running a nationwide competition on Facebook asking their followers to post pictures and messages explaining why they love their TGA mobility scooter so much. This #iLoveMyTGA competition has been very popular with lots of fascinating scooter owners uploading experiences and memories. As Pat already owned a larger, 3-wheel TGA Supersport, known as the ‘Harley Davidson’ of scooters, she was encouraged to enter the competition by her cousin. Her cousin took pictures and Pat posted them and her thoughts onto the TGA Facebook page. Pat’s content and its shareability were deemed to be the best by TGA as she clearly explained the lifestyle benefits of owning a quality scooter. For her engaging and witty posts, Pat has won a £2,000 folding TGA Minimo scooter that fits in a car boot – perfect for days out further afield. Read what Pat has to say about her win......
