Successful wheelchair racer Ben is already the British record holder over 4 distances competing in the T34 class, and recently became the European record holder over 800m, which now ranks him second in the World. Just 19 years of age, Ben has already achieved a Bronze medal in the 2014 European Championships and is in training to represent his country in Rio 2016.
Ben suffered lack of oxygen at birth which has left him with partial brain damage resulting in the condition cerebral palsy. However this has not prevented Ben from pursuing his dream of becoming a professional athlete. From an early age sport had Ben hooked and, with the support of his parents, he participated in a variety of sporting activities finally settling into wheelchair racing. Ben’s determination to succeed and his pursuit of excellence makes him an ideal ambassador for Invacare’s Top End racing chairs.
Ben will make a guest appearance on the Invacare stand 58 – 61 on Saturday
27 June from 11.30am. Mobility Roadshow runs from 25 – 27 June and will take place at Donington Park exhibition and conference facility in Derby.
