Despite living with challenging health conditions, Albert Hay, 76 from Dufftown near Aberdeen and retired weaver, has experienced a dramatic improvement to his life thanks to a new, all weather TGA mobility scooter.
Albert was originally born in Buckie on the Moray Firth coast of Scotland and before retirement, he was an active member of the local community whilst working as a highly skilled weaver. He worked for 20 years at the renowned Johnstons of Elgin Woollen Mill that was established in the late 18th century. Albert was responsible for producing the highest grade, tartans, tweeds and cashmere fabrics for discerning clients all over the world. During his time at the mill, he accurately manufactured materials for businesses such as Caledonian Airways and even pure cashmere fabrics, with interwoven silks, for middle-eastern Sheiks.
