Stella has muscular dystrophy but not only does she manage her everyday life she has become a successful professional artist.  Studio time may be limited to short sessions but that does not mean her paintings suffer it only means that Stella is very focused while in the studio and does not let the MD interfere with the creative process.  The studio is set-up to be easy to access and use - a must when you are in a wheelchair.

Lesley Taylor commented - I work with Stella, helping with the website and with packaging her prints, and Stella's determined attitude and "get on with it" nature can make me forget that she is in a wheelchair. Please look at her website http://artygems.com/home.html to understand the quality of her work.

“Abstract to literal, contemporary to traditional, exclusive limited edition greeting cards and individualised designs for your business. The cards are of the highest quality. Recent quote from one of Stella’s clients..........

“One of my regular customers has also started her own website and card selling business. Have a look at www.artygems.com to see her beautiful artwork. At Christmas Stella printed cards of the City Hall with the market stalls in front of it - they were beautiful and my family were delighted with their own work of art. Her gallery includes various views of Scotland. Please do look at her website.”

I also know and admire Stella's art work. She has painted pictures On commission from me which were delightful. Her ability to manage her time and energies is admirable. I have visited 3 of her beautifully, self designed homes which she site managed herself - incredible for an able bodied person and even more fantastic considering her level of disability and energies. I encourage everyone to visit her website to see her lovely Christmas cards.

Thank you Eva, it should be added that you are a fantastically creative person too and Scottish Disabled Ramblers, to mention only one, would not exist without your drive and ability.
