Are you in search of an all-inclusive toilet that allows you to maintain your independence whilst providing you with a hygienic and comfortable approach to personal cleansing? At bespoken, we have discovered the Bio Bidet, a ground-breaking all-in-one toilet seat, bidet and dryer that can easily replace any standard toilet and that is targeted at people who need to pay special attention to their toileting routine.

Bio Bidet was originally distributed in the UK by PDS – Precision Design Services Limited – a UK engineering company that launched Bio Bidet back in 2007. The Bio Bidet is the very first electronic bidet toilet seat to be WRAS (Water Regulations Advisory Scheme) approved. In other words, it can be legally connected to mains water supply with no risk of water contamination. In addition, all Bio Bidet models are approved and certified by European CE and American UL, meaning they comply with EU and American health, safety and environmental requirements.

There are currently two types of Bio Bidets. The first is the BB-800 Prestige, which key features include:

  • a side control that allows the user to define various settings such as warmth of the water, jet positions, air blower and pulse functions
  • a spray nozzle which extends from the toilet seat, providing a gentle stream of warm water and automatically cleaning itself after use, which means it does not necessitate daily cleaning
  • adjustable nozzle position to suit personal preferences regarding water temperature and pressure control
  • a selection of three jets to choose from: posterior cleaning, feminine wash and turbo wash, which is designed to stimulate bowel movements
  • a sensor that detects your presence so that the unit is only activated when occupied

The second model of Bio Bidet is the BB-1000 Supreme, which features a remote control that can be placed on the floor and operated by foot, as well as a deodoriser in order to reduce embarrassing odours.

The Bio Bidet is environmentally friendly as its air-drying feature eliminates the need for toilet paper and it disposes of two types of economy settings in order to save as much energy as possible. Other powers saving aspects of the Bio Bidet are its built-in lime scale and carbon filter, installed to guarantee longer life. The main technical requirements to fulfil in order to install Bio Bidet in your house are a full access to a mains water supply and that the electrical supply is installed and connected by a qualified electrician. The weight limit for both Bio Bidets is currently set at 133 kg (21 stone). At the present time, prices vary between £479.99 and £576.00 for the BB-1000 Supreme and between £420.00 and £506.09 for the BB-800 Prestige. To compare prices visit the distributors’ websites:

Yes,

I first came across this idea twenty five years ago, and it is extremely successful, and aids independence.

It used to be much more expensive, which was a barrier. these prices seem very reasonable if they are accurate.

I think,  bearing in mind that it is at least a quarter of a century old, calling it revolutionary is stretching it somewhat!

But, it just goes to show how long it takes to get the information out there!
