I have recently been diagnosed with hip dysplasia in my right hip, which causes my hip to dislocate relatively frequently, although it pops back in easily enough. My GP has referred me to an orthopaedic surgeon, who I haven't seen yet, but wasn't that clear on what the likely outcomes of that appointment would be. I was just wondering if anyone has any experience with hip dysplasia, specifically whether you had surgery or physio and how that worked out for you? I have been told by some people that I am too young for surgery at 23, but have also seen stories from people even younger than me who have had hip replacements. Can anyone give me an idea of what to expect?

Thanks!
