Cue the violins and get your tissue boxes out, my last day at the Blackwood Foundation as a content creation volunteer has come.

Volunteering with Blackwood as a journalist and content creator has offered me an insight into what really goes into advertising a company through the use of social media and other networking platforms. Those past three months have been a great and enriching experience: they have made me realise the sheer amount of work that goes on behind the scenes of a housing association, and I have been able to grasp the complexities that come with running an online platform in order to promote a company and generate participation from the public.

I have thoroughly enjoyed researching and writing articles designed to offer advice and information to the bespoken community around the world. I have also been able to develop my communication skills by interviewing various people such as Blackwood tenant John Logan, Claudia Romero from CAPR-Style and Stephen Chalmers from AltogetherTravel… There are many other great stories that are yet to be told, so keep an eye on the People’s Stories section of the bespoken forum!

bespoken is a work in progress, but there is no doubt that with the help of their dedicated social media team it will keep progressing and advancing so that many more people will be able to take part in the discussion and join the ever expanding bespoken community!
