It was a long build up to the final but the Blackwood Design Awards 2015 finally has a winner.
Huge congratulations to Grant Douglas and Mark Penver who took home the trophy this year thanks to the S’up Spoon.
A strong performance by Markus Pröll also whose entry, the Kinesic Mouse, was the runner up.
S’up Spoon is a simple 3D printed eating utensil designed specifically for people who struggle to eat certain foods independently, like soup, peas or cereals.
As well as the trophy, S’up Spoon will benefit from £1,000 prize money courtesy of our sponsor, Kingdom Gas. Blackwood now looks forward to following S’up Spoon’s progress and supporting our 2015 champions in their continued success.
Special Thanks to all our guest judges who kindly took the time to join us on the day and brought a wide range of expertise making the event all the more special.
And if you didn’t get around to entering the competition, rest assured you will get the chance when we launch the Blackwood Design Awards 2016. Keep an eye on bespoken for further news.
